Werner Oechslin Library
Primary sources on architectural theory in original editions from the 15th to the 20th centuries form the core collection of the Werner Oechslin Library. In addition to this core collection of rare density and completeness more than 50.000 other volumes document the architectural theory within the context of the humanities and the natural sciences. The architectural theory is coherently complemented by related disciplines from archaeology and art theory to cultural history and from philosophy and theology to mathematics and physics. The result is a special library of all the disciplines Vitruvius already mentioned as being necessary for the architect.
