The Zentralbibliothek Zurich features a rich stock of prints dating from the 15th to the 18th century. One focus of the collection comprising all fields of knowledge lies on Zurich's book publishing which glamorously began around 1520 with the Offizin Froschauer and experienced yet another peak in the 18th century with Orell, Gessner, Füssli & Co.

In an initial phase, Zurich prints of the 16th century will be published in e-rara.ch, to be followed later by prints of the 17th and 18th century as well as topical collections.
