if tv juissw § S’eAa must be rendered in the Midstof the Throne , Ch. v. 6 . it must have the sameSense, Chap. iv. Ver. 6 . and then the four*Animals, as well as the Son, will be placed on theThrone . Besides, it may be objected, that ac-cording to this Interpretation, the same Animalsare at one Time, in the Middle of the Throne ,and also round about the Throne , which is ab-surd. If therefore the literal Sense may be de-parted from in one Place, why not in another? But here, First , a great Difference should bemade between taking this Liberty, to preventabsurd Senses, or to clear up a Consonance a-mong parallel Places, and doing it, when noneof these Causes can be assigned, but where theyrather plead against such a Liberty. Thus for In-stance. If at Rev. iv. 6. the Reasons abovemention-ed make it necessary that cv psaa rS Sr&w shouldbe rendered any Thing, rather than in the Middleof the idler one ; it does not follow, that the likemay be done, Ch. v. 6 . and Ch. vii. 17. wherethere are no Difficulties in the literal Sense, andwhere it is also agreeable to other Places, whichtreat of the same Subject. For as in those twoPassages, the Lamb according to the Letter is saidto be in the Middle of the Throne: So Ch. 22.V. 1, 3. the Throne of God and of the Lamb , isspoken of as one and the same. But, Secondly ,There is no absolute Necessity for departing fromthe literal Sense of Iv peo-a t S Srejvs even in Ch. iv.6 . Because a new Fmictation of the Place willalone remove all the Difficulties, that seem torequire those Words should have an unusual Ac-ceptation. Let that Paslage therefore be thus

pointed.
