He does not affirm that thePassage was wanting in all the Greek MSS, as ourAuthor falsty represents, but in some Copies only ;and he fays this not upon his own Observation, butafter the Prologue ascribed to St. Jerom. Besidesall which, the Author of the CorreSlorium mistookhere the Meaning of that Prologue , which reallythrows the Blame of this Omission, not on the GreekCopies, but on the Latin Interpreters, who hadnot put in their Translation, what they found intheir Greek Copies.
