Thèse are a few of those thoughts, which corneinto my mind when I consxder how incumbent itís on every man, that he sliould be able to givean account even of his leisure; and, in the midstof solitude, be of some use to society.
I knovv not whether I sliall hâve courage enoughto undertake the talk 1 hâve chalked out : I distrustmy abilities wíth reason, and I fhall want severalinformations, not eafy, I doubt, for me to obtain.But, in ail events, it will not be possible for meto go about it this year; the reafons of whichwould be long enough to fìll another letter, andI doubt that you will think this grown too bulkyalready.
