Cathedral, “ a chasuble of white diaper with coupled parrots inplaces ; amoung branches, and a cope of a certain diaper of Antiochcolour, covered with trees and diapered birds, of which the heads,breasts, and feet, as well as the flowers on the tree, were woven ingold thread.”

There is no doubt that these specific fabrics were the productsof the Sicilian looms.
