Anaxiphus pulicarius Saussure.

. Head and pronotum brick-red in color, sparsely clothedwith long hairs; wing-covers and legs very light brown;abdomen and ovipositor darker.

Both sexes are wingless, but the wing-covers of the maleare well developed, fully covering the abdomen, while thoseof the female reach but little beyond its middle. The cerciare exceedingly long, tapering, and covered with fine yellowhairs. The hind femora of the males are proportionatelymuch larger than those of the females, as will be seen by thefollowing measurements: Length of body, male, 6.5 mm.;female, 8 mm.; length of posterior femora, male, 6.5 mm.;
