118 War Services of the Majors.

112 Major Graham served at the siege of Flushing in 1809, and subsequently in thePeninsula , including the blockade of Bayonne . Served also in the American war, includingthe action at Bladensburg and capture of Washington ; action near Baltimore , and those infront of New Orleans on the 20th Dec. 1841, and 8th Jan. 1815. Also at the taking ofFort Boyer.

113 Major Nickoll was at the taking of the Danish Islands of St. Croix and St. Thomas ,in 1807. Thanked in public order for driving away (with the light company of the 90th)an American privateer of large force from off Barbadoes in 1813. Served during the war inCanada , in 1814.

114 Major Lewis S. B. Robertson served with the expedition to Walcheren , in 1809,and was present at the siege of Flushing. Served also at the taking of the Kandian country,in Ceylon , under Sir Robert Brownrigg.

115 Major Rivers landed at Passages, Dec. 1813, and joined the light division, Feb.1814 ; took charge of a division of the boats fitted out at Socoa for the passage of the Adour;then joined the force for the siege of Bayonne ; embarked for America , in 1814.

116 Major Waymouth served in the Peninsula with the 2nd Life Guards from Nov. 1812to the end of the war, including the battle of Vittoria ; investment of Patnpeluna, and thebattles of the Pyrenees . Served also the campaign of 1815, including the action at QuatreBras, covering the retreat on the 17th June, and battle of Waterloo . Severely wounded andtaken prisoner, when charging the French cuirassiers at Waterloo.

117 Major Buchan served the campaign of 1814 in Holland , including the reconnoitringof tbeposition before Antwerp , action at Merxem , and bombardment of Antwerp.

118 Major John Maclean served in the Peninsula from 1812 to July 1814, including theaction of the 14th Nov. 1812, on the retreat from Salamanca, battles of Vittoria, Nivelle(wounded), Nive, and Toulouse . Present also in the action before New Orleans , 8thJan.1815.

119 Major Rutherford served in the Peninsula , and was present at the defence of Cadiz,action of Sabugal, battle of Fuentes dOnor, first siege of Badajoz , and battles of Nivelle,Orthes, and Toulouse . Served afterwards in the American war.

120 Major Gibson served in the Peninsula from Aug. 1813 to the end of that war in 1814,including the battles of the Pyrenees , siege of San Sebastian , passage of the Bidassoa (wounded), and the subsequent actions in which the left wing of the army was engaged.Served also the campaign of 1815, including the battle of Waterloo.

121 Major Macready served the campaigns of 1814 and 15 in Holland , Flanders , andFrance , and was engaged at Fort Frederick Hendrick, and at the actions of the 16th, 17th,and 18th June at Quatre Brass and Waterloo. Served afterwards in the East Indies, andwas present at the siege of Asseerghur, March and April 1819.

122 Major Morse Cooper served the campaign of 1814, including the investment ofBayonne and repulse of the sortie ; the campaign of 1815, including the battles ofQuatre Bras and Waterloo ; also at the siege and capture of Bhurtpore. Slightly woundedat Bayonne and severely at Waterloo, where he received five wounds.

123 Major Smyth served in India with the 16th Lancers, and was at the siege ofBhurtpore under LordCombermere.

124 Major Alves served the whole of the campailgs of 1810, 11, 12, 13, and 14, withthe 74th regiment, in the 3d division, without having ever been absent from it for a singleday, including the battle of Busaco, actions at Pombal , Redinba, Foz dArouce, Guardaand Sabugal, battle of Fuentes dOnor, actions at El Bodon and Aldea de Ponte, siege ofBadajoz in June 1811, siege and storm of Ciudad Rodrigo , siege and storm of Badajoz ,battle of Salamanca, capture of Madrid , battle of Vittoria, blockade of Pampeluna , thebattles in the Pyrenees , (27th, 28th, and 30th July), Nivelle and Orthes, affairs of VicBigorre and Tarbes , and battle of Trafalgar.

125 Major Jauncey, expedition to Walcheren . Peninsula from July 1812 to June 1814,including battle of Castalla, siege of Tarragona , retreat from ditto, and second siege; re-treat from Villa Franca after the battle of the Pass of Orciall ; investment of Barcelona in1814. Expedition to Naples in 1815,
