the navy board, per act of the twentieth April, one thousand eight hun-dred and eighteen, three thousand five hundred and fifty dollars; andfor additional pay to one clerk, per act of second March, one thousandeight hundred and twenty-seven, two hundred dollars.

For compensation to the clerks and draftsmen in said office, per actof twenty-sixth of May, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four,four thousand dollars.

For compensation to the messenger in said office, in full of -all allow-ances, seven hundred dollars.

For contingent expenses of said office, one thousand eight hundreddollars.

For allowance to the superintendent and four watchmen, employedfor the security of the war and navy buildings, and for the incidental andcontingent expenses, including oil, fuel, candles, and labour, two thou-sand one hundred and fifty dollars.

For compensation to the Postmaster General, six thousand dollars.

For deficiency in the appropriation of one thousand eight hundredand twenty-seven, two thousand dollars.

For compensation to the two assistant postmasters general, five thou-sand dollars.

For compensation to the clerks in the office of the Postmaster General,per act of the twentieth of April, one thousand eight hundred andeighteen, twenty-two thousand seven hundred dollars.

For compensation to the surveyor south of Tennessee , two thousanddollars.

For compensation to the clerks in the office of said surveyor, onethousand seven hundred dollars.

For compensation to the surveyor in Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas ,two thousand dollars.

For compensation to the clerks in the office of said surveyor, two thou-sand dollars.

For compensation to the surveyor in Alabama, two thousand dollars.

For compensation to the clerks in the office of said surveyor, one thou-sand five hundred dollars.

For compensation to the surveyor in Florida , two thousand dollars.

For compensation to the clerks in the office of said surveyor, two thou-sand dollars.

For surveying the public lands of the United States , thirty-three thou-sand dollars, in addition to an unexpended balance of fifty-four thousandtwo hundred and forty dollars and forty-three cents.

For compensation to the commissioner of the public buildings in Wash-ington city, two thousand dollars.

For compensation to the officers and clerk of the mint, nine thousandsix hundred dollars.

For compensation to the persons employed in the different operationsof the mint, nine thousand five hundred dollars.
