In this Meridian Line L make choice of a Center at C, in the upperpart of the Line if it be the South Face, as here we ſuppoſe it, that theStyle may have room to point downward: but in the lower part of theLine if it be the North Face of the Plane, for there che Style muſt pointupwardls and upon this Center I deſcribe an occult Circle, reprelenting theDeclining Vertical belonging to the Plane. a3.
