1. By che help of a Thredand Plummet I draw Z C a

8 Vertical Line, ſerving bothfor the Meridian of the place, and che Hour of 12.

2. In this Meridian Line I make choice of à Center in the upper partof the Line, if it had been the Southern Face of the Plane; but here inthe lower part ef the Line, becauſe we ſuppoſed it to be the Nortl-welt Face of the Plane, and the Style muſt point upward: and upon thisCenter J deſeribe an occult Circle, repreſenting che Declining Verticalbelonging to this Plane. a g

I find a Chord of 38 gr. 23 m. the diſtance of the Subſtylar fromche Meridian of the Place, and inſcribe it into this Circle, from Z in theMeridian, unto T toward the left hand, according as the proper MeridianP I falls in the Fundamental Diagram; and here I draw the Line CTſerving for the Subſtylar..

4. The Subſtylar being drawn, I may inſcribe the Chords of the Arksof the Plane from the Subſtylar, and draw che Hour- lines, and ſet up theStyle, as in the former Plane. 5 5
