The fourth and fifth Properties areevinced by the Experiments of the differentHeights to which Fluids ascend betweenGlass Planes unequally inclined, and inCapillary Tubes of different Bores : Also,by the accelerated Motion of a Drop ofOil between two inclined Planes : And like-wise by the Hyperbolical Curve formed bythe Superficies of a Fluid ascending be-tween Glass Planes touching each other onone Side.

The sixth Property is evident. Theseventh seems evident between fat and oilyParticles of Matter , and those of an aqueousNature; But is molt manifest from theElastic Property of the Air, whole Par-ticles compressed together restore themselvesby this repellent Power to their first State xAlso by the Ascent of Steam or Vapour fromhumid or fluid Bodies.

The eighth Property of this Attractionis manifest by Drops of Water falling onDust; by Drops of Dew gathering on theTops of Grafs; and lastly, by Quicksilverdivided into small Portions, which alwaysform themselves into perfect Spherules orGlobules (XII).
