The zero-points of C and D do not appear to have undergone any very appreciablechange. The comparisons of B, C,D with each other at distant intervals may, there-fore, be used to check the values of the depression of the zero of B deduced from theobservations of the freezing-point in 1845, 1846 and 1855.
