First, Acids of known and simple bases, which areformed by the union of these bases with oxygen.They are the following :
The Sulphuric
Carbonic
Nitric
Phosphoric
Arsenical
Tungs/enic
Molybdcnic
Acids of known and sira«pie bases.
2dly, Those of unknown basis:
Boracic > Acids of unknown bases.
Fluoric '
These two classes comprehend the most ancientlyknown, and most important acids. The sulphuric,nitric, and muriatic, were formerly, and are stillfrequently, called mineral acids.
3dly, Acids that have double or binary radicalsand which consequently consist of triple combina-tions. These are the vegetable acids, whose com-mon radical is a compound of hydrogen and car-bone.
