The Infant-Company of joint Adven-turers had scarce made the Experimentof two or three Voyages, when otherprivate Merchants would also needs trytheir Fortunes, by interloping upon thefame Coast. Upon the Discovery ofthis, Disputes arose between them, and
the Company, which proceeded to an 16open Rupture; One side insisting ontheir Privileges by Charter, and the o-ther on their natural Right, At Length, both Parties, growing weary of theseDebates, as well as their mutual Losses, withdrew the shattered Remains of their ^several and respective Stocks; By which Effect.Means thatTrade was again wholly neg-lected for some Years.
