The twen ty-fecond, Sir George Byng, Sir Georg 2being appointed to command a Squa-dron of Men of War, designed for the ^f 0 „ to titBaltick, which then lay at the Nore, Baltick.in a Readiness to put to Sea, set outfrom London, to take that Command up-on him. This Squadron consisted ofone Ship of eighty Guns, two of seven-ty, five of sixty, thirteen of fifty, oneof forty, one of about thirty, and oneof about twenty Guns, four Fire-ships,and an Hospital Ship. The Rear-Ad-mirals Caldwell and Littleton were ap-pointed to go with this Fleet, whichwas then intended to be re-inforced withone Ship of ninety Guns, two of eighty,
