like Orders were given for some more ; 1734.
So that, by the latter End of 'January,there were eighty-six Ships, ( 0 ) of differ-ent Rates, in Commission, or getting rea-dy for Sea-Service. The fame Day, theRight Honourable, Sir Charles JVagerwas appointed Admiral of the JVhiteSquadron of His Majesty’s Fleet.

Upon the Stairs of the Wharf, His Highness wasmet by the Right Honourable, ' the Lord Love-lace, who made him a Compliment from the King.From thence His Highness proceeded to Sommer-set- House, in one of the King’s Coaches, in whichhe was attended by the Lord Lovelace , Sir Cle-ment Cotterell , and Mons. Hop , his Retinue fol-lowing in other Coaches.
{n) These Ships were : The Princess Caroli-na , Captain Girlington ; The Tcrbay , CaptainTiercy ; The Cor nival, Captain Vanbrug-, TheHampton-Court, Captain Mighells ; The Revenge,Captain Trevor -, The Orford , Captain Ockman ;The Lancaster, Captain Coleman ; The Ipswich,Captain Hooke; The Lenox, Captain Winder,-whoafterwards resigned; The Kent, Captain Robinson-,The Swallow, Captain Graves ; The Ant Hope,Captain Bridge, and the Diamond, Captain Herbert -,Of which the ten first are all of seventy and eigh-ty Guns, and were ordered to remain ontheHome-Coasls, to be employed as Occasion ihould require.
