It disippearcd upott VVednefday Morning, May 9.though ve siw it the day bc-forc about 10 in the Morning to be near aboutthe sime Distance from the Wcstward Limb, a little South of its ./Equator,that it first appeared to be from the Eastward Limb, ä little South also of its.Equator. It (eem’d to move faster in the middle of the Sun than towardsthe Limb. It was a very dark Spot, almost of a Quadra'rigular Form, andwas enclofed round with a kind of duskilh Cloud.
We first observed this very fame Spot both for Figure, Colour, and Bulk,to be Re-entred the Sun A lay ay. when it appear’d tö be in a part of thesime Line it had formerly traced; and was Entred about yf of its Diameterabout 7 a Clock in the Asiernoon. At the sime time there appedr’d anotherSpot, which Was just Entcred, and appeared to be Ertteied not above y jypart of the Sun’s Diameter. It appeared to be longest towards the North andSouth, and {hortest towards the East and West, There leenfid to be dilperledabout it divers Cnall Clouds here and there.

They were in the Southern part of the Sun,, and their Elongation from theParallel of the, JEpuator pasting through the Center of the Sun, was aboutpart of his Diameter. The Time which lapsed between the Transite of theSutis Center and' that of the first of thesi Spots, was zz". or a.z". the Semi-diameter of the Sun then pasting in 66". The first of thesi Spots, beinglooked upon with a Telescope of 17 Foot long, appear’d of a sotnewhatOval Figufie ; the other Was Oblong, and a little Curved, like the HehretoLetter Jod ; and both together were surrounded by a Corolla, or Coronet, made up of little dark Points, which conformed it self to the Figure of theSpots, considered as they were joyn’d together.
Aug. 1 z. He perceived that they were nearer his Center. The Time be-tween the paflage of the Suns Center, and that of the Interior edge of theCoronet which encompafi’d them both, was then of 16". At 7 a Clock itwas but of 15". ana. the Southern Limb of the. Caro«w touched the Parallelpasting through the Suns Center. The first Spot was composid of two othersalmost round, and conjöined. The sicond reprefented the Ihape of a Scor-pion. The third was round. And they were ali three environed with a Co-ronet, which was composid, as we siid above, of abundance of little obscurePricks- This Coronet appear’d to be clearer than the rest of the Sun, ^vhen
