The Apparent Velocity nigh the Center was such, that !f it had continuedthe sime, the Spots would have arrived almost in 4 days to the Limb of theDisque ; but in this Hypothcfis, that the Spots were adherent to the SunsSurface, or at least, very nigh to it, this Apparent Velocity was to leisenaccording as they should remove from thc Center, as bath come to paß incffect. The Diminution of thc length of the Misty Crown was in a mannetproportionable to the Diminution of the Apparent Velocity; since that, v/henthis Crown was in the middle, and in a Situation, wherein its truc Figurecould be best: (een, it appear’d Oblong, and of the Form of an Human Far,its greatest Diameter reipecting Fast and West; but belüg nigh the Limb, this sime Diameter ßemed to {horten ; and having appear’d greateil in itsfirst Situation, it appear’d least in this, bccause it was almost in a Circle that .pafs’d through the Center of the Sun, whosi equal Arches are by so muchthe more Oblique, by how much they approacu more to thc Limb of bisDisque, and consiquently appeav lest, according to the Rulcs of Optickj ;mean time, the Diameter, that was turncd from South to North, apparentlykept thc sime bigneß it had near the Center, bccausi it was in a Circlealmost Parallel to the Hörigen of the Sun, which forrr.ed the Represonra-rion of its Limb, and whose equal Arches (by the sime Optkal Realons) der #not appear contracted. >
