That application be made to parliament this session, for an act tomake a navigable canal from the river Severn at Tern-bridge in thecounty of Salop, and the river Trent at Wilden in the county of Der-by; and also from the river Weaver at Winsford-bridge, in the countyof Chester, to communicate with the above at Bridgford, on the riverSow, in the county of Stafford :

That it will be most convenient for the execution of this undertaking,if the making and completing the said navigation, which has been esti-mated at one hundred and sixteen thousand pounds, were to- be distri-buted into five hundred and eighty shares, and raised by subscription,that no person shall have more than twenty shares; the money to beadvanced by each subscriber in equal proportions as the same shall bewanted, and the shares made transferable by a form prescribed in theact :

That a subscription be immediately opened to raise a fund to sup-port the necessary expences of procuring the act; that the money thussubscribed shall, after the obtaining of the act, be repaid to such per-sons as shall not be subscribers, and allowed to such as shall be sub-scribers, in part of payment of their shares:

That a subscription be also opened for the money which will bewanted for making and completing the said navigation; that twentydays be allowed after this day to complete the said subscription; thatthe names of the subscribers may be entered with of

Bristol, Gloucester, Worcester, Salop, Bewdley, Bridgnorth, Newport,Drayton, Eccleshall, Stafford, Litchfield, Tarn worth, Birmingham, Wol-verhampton, Dudley, Rudgley, Burton, Walsal, Derby, Nottingham,Newark, Gainsborough, Hull, Nantwich, Northwich, Newcastle, Con-gleton, Frodsham, Chester and Liverpool, where books will be openand kept to receive subscriptions for that purpose; and an account isdesired to be transmitted from each gentleman at the end of twenty

days
