No boat under twenty tons lading, or less than seventy feetin length, is to pass any lock without leave. Owners andoccupiers may use pleasure and husbandry boats, not exceed-ing five feet in breadth; the same not to pass any lock, orcarry for hire.
Warwickand Braun-ston Canal.
The Oxford Canal Company, as an indemnification, areauthorised to take for their own uses, over and. above all otherrates, the following rates of tonnage.
For all coals carried out of this canal, into the Oxford•Canal, two-Jhillings and ninc-pence per ton, and so in propor-lion for a less quantity.
For all other goods, wares, &c. (except lime, lime-stone,and manure) carried out of this canal, into the Oxford Canal,or the contrary, (except such as shall be bona fide navigatedfrom the Coventry Canal, or from any intermediate placebetween the said Coventry Canal and this canal, into thiscanal, four JhUimgs and four fence per ton, and so in propor-tion.
For all lime, and lime-stone, carried out of this canal intoshe Oxford Canal, fix-pence per ton, and so in proportion.
No other than the above rates are to be taken by theOxford Canal Company in respect of any coals, goods, &:c..{except lime and lime-stone, not passing immediately fromthis canal to the Grand Junction Canal) which shall be carriedout of this canal, along the Oxford Canal, immediately into
