HISTORY OF MARINE ARCHITECTURE.
To supply all these defects, if his Ma' 7 hath ready in the woods farr greaterproportion of all sortes, and if there hath been duely paid £.500 per annum forthe land carriage thereof, and if the officers have had sufficient moneys in everyone of their hands to defray all other charge, it may bee reasonably demanded ofthem by your Honours, why his Ma 7 * service is brought to these extremittys, and doubted whether it can possibly bee sett forward in due time by theirmeanes. Neverthelesse, wee presume, though they faile in this case, that theoffer made by Mr. Burrell, (to these particulers by the masters provisions tillhis Ma' 7 may bee had) will both prevent mischiefe, and give his Ma' 7 goodsatisfaction in the second thing required for these two shipps.
The third Direction from his Ma' 7 is, that order bee given soe to dispose theneedfull provisions of timber and plancke, that they may bee ready the nextspring, and that noe time bee therein lost to the disadvantage of his Ma 1 ' 1 ser-vice, whereunto noe stock of money is required by those that propound thiscourse of settling the affaires of the navy.
