An Account of what Salaries have been encreased in the Navy, betweenthe 5th of November 1688, and the 1st of December 1698, and by what
Orders, with the Reasons for granting the said Orders.-Presented to
the House of Commons by Sir Robert Rich, on Feb. 2, 1698-9.
1690. Lords of theiTo increase the clerks of the checques salary at HarwichApril 28, Admiralty, i to 60I. per annum.

To make an extra allowance of 20s. a day to admiralRussel, as admiral of the blue.
Accustomed table money.
To make an extra allowance of 30s. per diem to admiralKillegrew, (over and above his pay as vice-admiralof the red) from the time admiral Russel left him,till the date of his commission, to be admiral of theblue j and 20s. a day extra from that time until hewas made one of the admirals of the fleet.
This allowance was made in pursuance of the king’s order.
To encrease the pay of a boatswain’s yeoman in a 5thrate to il. 6s. per mensem; and the yeoman of the
powder-room in the

To make an allowance of 10s. a day to captain MatthewAylmer, late commander of their Majesty’s ships inthe Mediterranean, (over and above his pay as cap-tain) from the date of his commission till the timeof his discharge from the Monk.
This allowance has been made to command- in chief of squadrons abroad.
