PERSONAL INCIDENTS.

HE personal incidents which occurred were

numerous. Many of these have beenbrought to public attention through the press,yet there are others which have not been nar-rated. Every one had his own story, but in theconfusion of the scene no one is really supposedto have a clear view of the whole event.

These incidents are told by the different pas-sengers who escaped and by the citizens whohastened to the rescue. The following are givenas showing the experiences of the women whowere on the train. There were many who per-ished, and it is affecting to read the story of theirsufferings while so helpless in the wreck. Hutthe heroism manifested bv those who escaped, isespecially worthy of note.
