Here we find strata, -which had been ori-ginally formed at the bottom of the sea, byhaving transported materials deposited in ho-rizontal beds, now raised from that place inwhich they had been formed, and variouslybroken, fyent, and inclined from that horizon-tal plane in which they had been deposited*This is the view of things which is generalin this earth, and of which this author de-scribes so well the particulars.
