Sir,

I have to add, in confirmation of what I wrote you,that I gave quantities of the water, so impregnated, toseveral people in this neighbourhood, and also an appa-ratus, and necessary instructions, to a person in the nextadjacent market town, in order to spread the use thereofas speeiily as possible; and I have had concurrent testi-mony from all but one single person, whose servants Iapprehend had not given it lair play, confirming the effi-cacy os the method. Particularly, a butcher, who dealspretty largely, assures me, he found the greatest successfrom it, and only objects that the veal was a little dis-coloured, though kept perfectly sweet; and the person towhom I gave the apparatus thinks it wilt prove of greatadvantage, from the success of those to whom she has sold
