[Tliis collection presents a favourable picture of themineral and metallurgical resources of this recently-esta-blished colony. Copper appears to be found in consider-able abundance, and is accompanied by zinc. The speci-mens of lead, iron, and antimonial ores indicate also theexistence of sources of these metals which may ultimatelybecome valuable. If the lignite exhibited is adapted forfuel, it will not prove the least important.—R. E.]
