Odeum, and Theatre, a Lyceum , a Palace,for the Emperor ; with many other build-ings : each of which were accommodatedwith various apartments, fitted up in astyle of elegance and grandeur, scarcelycredible ; this truly princely palace occu-pied an extent of ground above threemiles in length.
The Villa of Mecamas, in the neigh-bourhood of Tivoli, was also very extentsive, and not less elegant.
