The Description and Use
The Things above described are commonto both Globes; but there are some otherswhich are peculiar, or proper to one fortof Globe. The two Cotures , and the Circlesof Latitude , from the Ecliptick, belong onlyto the Celestial Globe ; also the Ecliptick it-self does properly belong only to this Globe, tho’ it is always drawn on the Terrestrial, for the Sake of those that might not havethe other Globe by them. The Equinoc-tial on the Celestial Globe is always num?bered into 360 Degrees, beginning at theEquinoctial Point Y 1 ; but on the Terre-strial, it is arbitrary where theie Numberscommence, according to the Meridian of Iwhat Place you intend for your first; andthe Degrees may be counted either quiteround to 360, or both Ways, till they meetin the opposite Part of the Meridian at 180.
