These Quadrants are to be hadat the Instrument Makers, with Lines drawnupon them, for finding the Hour of the Dayand the Azimuth, with several other prettyConclusions, very entertaining for Beginners.

The Latitude , and the Day of the Month be-ing given , to find the Hour of the Daywhen the Sun jhines.

Having placed the Wooden Frame upona Level, and the Meridian due North andSouth, rectify the Globe for the Latitude,and fix a Needle perpendicularly over theSuns Place: The Suns Place being broughtto the Meridian, set the Hour-Index to irat Noon, then turn the Globe about untilthe Needle points exactly to the Sun, andcasts no Shadow, and then the Index willshew the Hour of the Day.
