Prob. XXXVI. Hoe Latitude of the Place,the ' Day of the Month, and the Hour,being given ; to find what Stars are thenrising or setting, what Stars are culmi-nating, or on the Meridian, and the Al-titude and Azimuth of any Star above theHorizon ; and also how to diflinguijhthe Stars in the Heavens one from th.other, and to know them by their properNames.

Having rectified the Globe for the Lati-tude, the Zenith, and the Suns Place, turnthe Globe about until the Index points tothe given Hour: the Globe being kept iathis Position.

All those Stars that are in the | j

Side of the Horizon, are then j j

All those Stars that are under the Meri-dian are then Culminating; and if the Qua-drant of Altitude be laid over the Center ofany particular Star, it will shew that StarAltitude at that Time, and where it cutsthe Horizon, will be the Stars Azimuth fromthe North or South Part of the, Meridian.

The Globe being kept in the fame Eleva^tion, and from turning round its Axis,move the wooden Frame about, until theNorth and South Points of the Horizon lie
