derable Part of the Christian Canon in Form. Inthe mean Time, I humbly offer the following Con-sideration on the whole, to all who may find them-selves concerned therein.

After what has been said, little Doubt can bemade, but that the Editor of the new Text andVersion of the NewTestaments is in Reality anEnemy to Christianity . It is also most notorious,that in framing his Translation, he has sliewn theutmost Spite to our established Church . For theTestimonies on which slie builds her Doctrines,and from whence she justifies her Forms of Wor-ship and Discipline, are for the most' part, ei-ther falsely rendered or dishonestly suppressed byhim. At the same Time every other Distinction,into which reformed Christianity is unhappilybroken amongst us, receives Assistance from himoften at the Expence of Truth and Propriety.Does not therefore this partial Conduct in ourEditor, who by Principle is equally an Enemy toChristians of all Denominations, amount to a Con-fession, that our holy Religion may more easilybe subverted under any Form, than that receivedin the Church of England ? Happy would it befor Christianity , did every Believer see as muchas this Infidel does, and heartily unite with us,against the common Adversaries of the ChristianName. The Cause of Deism is wretched init self; and those in the Direction of it appearinconsiderable for Learning, and infamous fortheir many and notorious Prevarications. Theysubsist on our Divisions, and would have little orno Materials for Opposition, if the contendingParties of Christians did not supply them. IfL then
