The High Priest rejectingJoachims Offering (Bartsch vii., 30), by Israel van Meekenen. Of the works ofAlbrecht Diirer, the specimens of Adam and Eve (Bartsch vii., l) .and The Con-version of St. Eustachius (Bartsch vii., 57) have been long esteemed as two ofthe finest extant, and his Prodigal Son (Bartsch vii., 28), and Knight of Death(Bartsch vii., 98), are likewise extremely brilliant. The fine portraits of ChristianII. of Denmark (Bartsch viii., 91), by Jakob Binek; the Emperor Charles V.(Bartsch viii., 60), and Ferdinand I. The extensive collection of the works of WenceslausHollar is of high quality both in impression and condition, many of them beingof great rarity.
