Management of Commissioners, in thefame Manner as there is in this Kingdom aBoard of Trade and Plantations ; there theprincipal Branches are under the nicestPules, and exactest Regulations imaginable:They have two Persons who are principallyemployed, and under whose Direction areput all the Machine-works belonging totheir Mines ; these again have Meehanicksunder them, who are very industrious, andcontinually aiming at some Improvements;then, in order to promote Discoveries, theyappoint People: in every Province andCounty, who are called Minior MetalSearchers; because their daily Employment,and constant Business, is to survey theGrounds, and examine the Mountains, forall Kind of metalline Ores, Minerals, Veins,Beds, &c.
