And whereas the words of the Ata trite are, Nullus QuM est Bdu'Forestarius, nec Bedellus : it is to be understood, that luSlthis Wo?d Bedellus, a Bedle, is an dDfficer o? Aerbant ofthe Forest, that doth make al! manner ot garniihmentsof the Courts os the Fo?est,and also all manner os Rro-clamativns as well within the Courts os the Forest aswithoutrand also to execute all the Process of the Forestrhe is like unto a i&ailiff <SSnmt ot a Aheriss in hisCounts And here it is alto to be noted, that althoughthe letter of the Atatute doth speak but of a Forester 9aBedie; xet neberthelesse the same Atatute doth extendto all other DRcers in theFo?est,as well as to the Fo-resters and Bedles, so? the Atatutewas made so? theredressing os a general mischief ; and therefore the raidAtatute shall not be said to red?esse it in part,wit in all:like as the Atatute that doth fpeak but of the Mardenof the Fleet onlx, and xet the same doth extend to allother Keepers of prisons as well as to the Marden osthe Fleet, forasmuch as^he fame statute was madefor the redressing of a general mischief; and xet the let-ter thereof fpeakeih but onlx of the Marden of theFleer: and the like is of diders other Atatutes.j
