DESIGNED FOR G. DO DWELL, ESQ. SLIGO .
DESIGN, No. 4.
PERSPECTIVE VIEW, TWO ELEVATIONS, PLAN,—PLATE V.
A mixed character prevails in this design, the outline exhibiting a rusticGreek style, quite homely and unpretending, yet retaining some stampof its origin; and the windows partaking of English architecture. Theplan, which is regular, is nevertheless so disposed as to avoid the appear-ance of formality. Plain as the design is in itself, it is not deficient inelfect as regards light and shade, or its perspective lines and surfaces. It may perhaps be thought that there are too many windows in the livingroom; and some of these might with propriety be made blank ones in theexecution.
