VII. Wlien Jofeph entertained his brethren in Egypt, they

did eat at a table by themfelves, and he did eat at another tableby himfelf; and the Egyptians who did eat with him were atanother table, " becaufe the Egyptians might not eat bread with“ the Hebrews ; for that was an abomination to the Egyptians,”Gen. xliii. 32.
