Hand Carving Machine.

"With Radial Adjustable Arbor.

This is a popular machine, designed as an aid to hand carving, for interiordecorations, and any special or irregular surface ornamentation in furniture orhouse work, such as light rosette-cutting, veining, flower-tracing, etc.

The cutters are secured to a horizontal arbor of good length, lead-ground, andrunning in long, connected hearings radially adjustable to permit of belting inthe most convenient direction.

It is mounted on a substantial column, which can be placed upon a benchor other position convenient to the power which is taken from a countershaftabove. It will carve to the center of a 73" panel, and work small pieces withgreat rapidity.

The outer end of the arbor is made removable so the carving tools can bequickly changed without disturbing the main arbor. A full set of ten cuttersare sent with each machine. They are tapped with a fine thread, and screwed tothe end of the arbor.

A countershaft and pulleys are sent with each machine.

The tight and loose pulleys are 0"x3", and should make 1,000 revolutions.
