Small Boring Machines.
These are convenient little machines, designed for various purposes in smallshops where there is a limited amount of work to he done. The frames aremade in box form, of cored section, the spindles are steel, lead-ground, with longbearings. The pulley runs between hearings, and may be belted from above orbelow. They are provided with a stop-rod for regulating the depth of boring,wrenches, etc. Three sizes are made, viz.:
The No. 3 with pulley 4" x4", and should make 1,400 revolutions.

Post Boring Machine.
This machine will be foundvery useful in many shops wherethe expense of a larger one isnot justified. It is self-con-tained, and may be secured to apost in any part of the buildingwhere it can be belted directfrom the line shaft.
The vertical spindle is oflarge diameter, the horizontalarbor and gearing is encased ina box housing, which carries theshifting bar for starting andstopping. There is also a coun-terbalanced lever for’ bringingthe auger to the work, and astop-i'od to regulate the depthof boring.
The table is supplied by purchasers, and of such dimensions as will bestsuit their work. Four augers, and are, furnished.
The tight and loose pulleys are 5^"x2", and should make 950 revolutions.
