Theweight of the engine empty (weighed in the Exhibition), is32 tons; coke and water 4 tons; the evaporation of theboiler at full work is equal to 1,140 horses power; pressureof steam 120 lbs. on the square inch. The engine has avery low boiler, and the greatest weight is on the extremewheels, which ensure steadiness.]
