MUSTARD.— J- & J. Colman invite the attention of English and Foreign Merchants, andtraders in general to the qualities of their Mustard, (manufactured from the best description ®>English Brown Seed,) and in so doing would observe that they have invariably directed theirenergies to the production of an article warranted genuine in its character, and which should combin 6the strength and pungency of the Seed with a certain pleasantness of flavour, whereby to render Mone of the most agreeable of condiments—and it having ever been a source of complaint that Mus*tard when sent to Foreign Countries has, by the influence of climate and other causes, been cons'*derably deteriorated, and at times so far damaged as to render it unfit for use, J. & J. Colman be£to announce that their Double Superfine quality has stood the severest tests of clima*®and every contingency of transit; they have, therefore, the utmost confidence in recommending "for Foreign and Colonial supply as well as for Home Consumption. It is packed in bottles of 1M*-and jib. of the largest sizes, for Foreign Markets.
In addition to the above, J. A J. Comm manufacture the three following kinds of Mustard, viz.— Superfine, Fine,8eooko 8, which qualities are warranted good, and will be found available for general purposes. Those kindB are packed eithercasks, tins, or jars, as well as in the nsual sized bottles.
STARCH has been for a considerable time offered to the Public in qualities so various and d' 9 ”similar, that it has been found difficult to determine what to purchase, in order to secure at a 1®' Vprice an article of uniform good quality, which can be prepared by ladies and laundresses withtl' eleast possible trouble—and it having been discovered from experience that men starch is m® 1 ^to be depended upon in its application than any other, J. & J. Colman have devoted their b® sattention to the subject, and spared neither pains nor expense to bring the article to perfect!® 11 'They have much pleasure to inform the trade that they have secured by Letters Patent a process j®manufacturing a No. X patent rich STARCH, and SATIN OLAZE RICE STARCH, of a quid' Jsuperior to every other made from Rice, being quite free from all mucilaginous matter. R ,,soluble, and can be used with greater ease and facility than the common Starch. Sold in pack eof 5 lb., 1 lb., I lb., and (lb. each.
Ladies are especially invited to test the above SATIN OLAZE RICE STARCH. Being fa fluid state it imparts an equality of stiffness and gloss to the finer fabrics, and produces & fi nunequalled by any other yet offered . d
Aa many persona, however, may still prefer the Wheaton Starches, .T. ft J. Colman continue to manufacture with the aam® cRfflattention their usual kinds, viz.—No. 1. London Starch. Patent White Starch. Soluble Satin Olaze Starch.
BLUE. —This article is manufactured of various shades of colour from Indigo and Prussian Blue,
former being used principally for Laundress purposes, the latter by the Manufacturers of Fla*" 1 ^fee., See., and when made genuine, they impart a colour which cannot be obtained from ®ingredients. J. & J. Colman warrant tbe genuineness of their Blues, and the trade are respect*"invited to purchase them.
BRITISH GUM and Gum Substitute, used by Silk and Calico Printers, in every varietyshade and colour, need only to be tried to insure satisfaction.
