This is the most correct rule; but the follow*ng, being more simple, and agreeing very nearlywith the truth, are frequently used.

Rule 2d.Multiply the square of the meangirth, expressed in feet and decimals, by -07956,(the area of a circle whose circumference is 1,)and the product by the length.
