DARTUS, is the Second or inner Tunick. of theCommon Coats which immediately cover theTesticles ; it arises from the Membrana Carnosa,and seems to be muscular, from its Power of Con-structing and Wrinkling it self up ; it adheres tothe Tunica Vagimlis that lies under it by manyMembranous Fibres. Ruyfch faith, that it haththe Membrana Adipofa also under the Carnosa.

DASYMMA, is a superficial inequality of theinner Part of the Eye-lids, accompanied with aredness. Blanchard.

DATA, is the Term in Mathematicks for suchthings or quantities as are supposed to be given orknownin order to find out thereby other thingsor quantities which are unknown er sought for,and Euclide uses the Word Data, (of which he hatha particular Tract) for such spaces, Lines, and An-gles, as are given in Magnitude, or to which wecan assign others equal. See Given.

DATIVE CASE, is the third Cafe in the De-clension of Nouns, Pronouns, &c. and is so calledbecause 'tis usually governed by a Verb which im-plies something to be given, to some Person, and thething is put in the Accusative Cafe, and the Per-son in the Dative.
