Note j Is there is any Occasion for theAngle of Ascent Y AX, the Index cutsit on the outer Limb; and if the Heightof the Wind-Miln from the Foundati-on is required, let the Semicircle con-tinue in the fame Position, and movethe Index till through its Sights you spythe Foundation at f, and the Differenceof what it now cuts on the Square andwhat it cut before is the Height requi-red. It may not be improper to re-mark here, that this Part of the Propo-sition relating to the Height of theWind-Miln wou'd require that the Di-stance from it to the Instrument fhoudbe but small, that it may be plainly ex-press 5 d on the Index in Feet, which will,at least, require that every Chain of theDistance AX, bean Inch on the Index jnow, the Index being but 2 6 Incheslong, it's plain the Distance AX, oughtnot to exceed 2 6 Chains, or 2 do o Feet.
