He cameto Bodmin, where, having assembled a-bout three Thousand Men, he issued aProclamation, and assumed the Title ofKing of England, by the Name of Ri-chard IV. A-bout this Time, Sebastian Cabot, whomwe have mentioned above, broughtthree Men to Court, who were takenin the Newfound Lands. They werecloathed in Beasts Skins, and spoke aLanguage unknown, (r)

In the Year 1406. Philip , King of *4°6*Castile, carrying his Queen from theLow Countries to Spain , by Sea, before ven j nt0they got out of the Channel, a Storm Engknd bydispersed their Fleet, and the Ship they a Stormwere in got, with great Difficulty, intoIVy mouth. They were both so fatigued,that, contrary to the Advice of theirCouncil, they would go on Shoar. Hen-ry, who knew how to make some Ad-vantage of every Incident, detainedthem with Caresies, and specious Pre-tences, till he renewed a Treaty ofCommerce, in Favour of hisSubjects, andthey granted his Desires in some otherParticulars. They departed from Fal-mouth, on the three and twentieth of A-pril.
Henry died, ntRichmond, in the Year 1409.1409. the twenty-second of April, of The King sa Ptisick, after having reigned three 1 - >eath -and twenty Years and eight Months.
