ee The gas-burners made use of in our ma-nufactory produce jets of flame, which in ourbusiness, where much soldering with the blow-pipe must be done, have a decided superiorityover Argands lamps. We are not nice con-cerning the quality of the gasa great part ofit is burned from the gasometer, without allow-ing it to purify itself in the gasometer, becauseour gasometer is not large enough to storeup the whole quantity of gas we want for use.
