-E- Bignon has obtained to ic from the King. That Academy is
now composedof xo Honorary Academicians , which are chofen Learnedand Eminent Gentlemen ; of 8 Strangers Associates , which äre distin-guifhed by their Learning; Twenty Penßoners Fellows, Twenty Eleves,and Twelve French Ajfociates, who are divided into 6 Classes, vir.Geometricians, Astronomers, Mechanicians, Anatomists, Chymists andBotanists. '
Out of the Honorary Academicians, two are Elected every Year, onefor President, the other for Vice-President; only Twenty Penßoners haveevery Year i yoö French Livers ; and after the Death of one Penßoner,the Academy will propofe to the King 3 Perlons Ajjociates, or Eleves, orsometime others; and his Majesty will call one of the three for Penftoner.
