CHRYSOMELA BILITURALA.

COLEOPTERA .

Wings two, covered by two fliells, divided by a longitudinal

future.

GENERIC CHARACTER.

Antennas knotted, enlarging towards the end. Corselet margined,

SPECIFIC CHARACTER.

Antennæ near the length of the body, black. Head, thorax, and'mderside, black. Shells red, inclining to yellow brown, with a broadlongitudinal black stripe extending from the base, nearly to the extre-mity of each.

This Infect is described in the manuscripts of T. Marsham, Esq.s. who favoured me with the specimen from which the figure inannexed plate is copied; it does not appear to have been either%nred or described in any preceding Natural History, and may there-f° re be esteemed as a rare Insect . The specific name biliturala is^opted from that Gentlemans manuscripts by permission.
