ADDENDA.

RIVER NEN NAVIGATION, TO AMEND.

AN act was this session, (viz. 34 Geo. III. Ch. 85,) ob-tained for improving the navigation of the river Nen betweenPeterborough and Thrapston, called the Eastern Division ofthe Navigation.

The act authorises the provisions of this and a former act,to be executed by nine commissioners, who are to elect anoverseer or overseers, to be called the commissioner overseer,and to be entirely under their direction and cognisance, for in-specting the general concerns of the navigation, and putting inforce their orders. Many other clauses respecting the ma-nagement of the entire concern, are enforced and explained.

OXFORD CANAL, TO AMEND.

AN act of parliament has been this session, (viz. 34 Geo.III. Ch. 103.) obtained to remedy certain clauses in formeracts, which were inimical to the general prosperity of thecompany, and granting certain powers which before werewanting to their well being..

The act enlarges the qualifications of commissioners, andenables the company to fix the price of carriage for small par-cels under five hundred weight, a printed list of such fixedprices, is to be stuck up at every public wharf. Coals, goods,&c. may be distrained for dues not paid..
