ADDENDA.

For iron-stone, calcined iron ore, iron ore, rotten stone,coals, culm, stone-coal, Coaks, cinders, charcoal, timber, stone,tiles, bricks, and clay, three-pence halfpenny per ton per mile.

For lime-stone, lime, aud all kinds of manure, one penny,per ton per mile.

For lime, lime-stone, and manure pasting from Swansea tothe South Boundary of the Fee of Trewyddfa (about twomiles) only one halfpenny per ton per mile shall be paid.

The tolls to be taken on that part of the canal belonging tothe Duke of Beaufort are not to exceed the above tolls allowedto the company.

The rates may be lowered.

No boat under fifteen tons when the water does not, norunder ten tons when the water does flow over the waste weir,to pass any lock without leave, or paying that tonnage.

Marty rail-ways and collateral cuts are permitted to bemade, and others at certain places are forbidden to be made.There is also a power for making and preserving inclinedplanes.

The course of this canal is through a country abounding inores, lime-stone, and other valuable minerals, which bv meansof this canal will, at a cheap rate of carriage, be brought tomarket, and thereby enable the founders, &c. to fell at re-duced and low prices, which must ever be considered as highlynecessary to extend commerce, and render such undertakingstruly profitable.
